Twinning, done right! – Training on Proposal Preparation

This two-day, hands-on masterclass is focused on Twinning—the Widening action where a Widening-country coordinator (e.g., STU) teams up with at least two leading institutions from two different EU MS/AC to accelerate excellence through targeted research cooperation, networking, staff exchanges, summer schools and workshops. You’ll work on your real concept from day one, pressure-testing the scientific storyline, sharpening the impact logic with measurable KPIs, and translating it into an executionready workplan and (lump-sum) budget proposal that evaluators can trust.

You’ll build a fundable concept and leave with four concrete outputs:

• a sharp Excellence narrative;
• a Widening-proof Impact plan with measurable KPIs;
• an Implementation workplan (governance, risks, tasks, milestones);
• a (lump-sum) budget that matches the work.

Designed for up to five STU groups (25 people max) each group consisting of 3-4 researchers and 1 project manager, this workshop uses fresh 2023 Twinning cases and the upcoming WIDERA call so you know how to prepare a winning proposal.
