On 18 September 2025, the FreeTwinEV project consortium successfully hosted the Academia Meets Industry Roundtable at the University Centre of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. The event brought together representatives from leading technology companies, research institutions, and industry stakeholders, creating a dynamic platform for dialogue and collaboration on the future of e-mobility.
The roundtable opened with an informal networking lunch, setting the stage for open and constructive discussions. Participants heard insights from the FreeTwinEV project consortium and the Slovak University of Technology, including contributions from three STU departments: Institute of Electronics and Photonics, Institute of Automotive Mechatronics of Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, and the Faculty of Materials Sience and Technology. In addition, the University Technology Incubator InQb presented its mission and opportunities for industrial partners to join its activities.
Four keynote speakers, Evert Raaijen (Alfen), Michal Bumbák (InoHub Energy), Bernhard Stanje (AVL List), and Silvia Miháliková (SEVA), shared their perspectives on pressing challenges and opportunities in the field of e-mobility. Their interventions highlighted the importance of innovation, cross-sector collaboration, and knowledge transfer in driving forward sustainable transportation solutions.
The event concluded with a networking cocktail, providing opportunities for participants to deepen connections and explore potential partnerships.
