On 19th November, Miroslav Mikolasek, the Head of the Battery & Energy Technologies group of Institute of Electronics and Photonics, FEI STU, was invited to deliver an expert presentation at the SURFINT-SREN IX Conference on Progress in Applied Surface, Interface and Thin Film Science – Solar Renewable Energy News.
The SURFINT SREN International Conference is a respected event bringing together researchers from Germany, Italy, Finland, and other countries in surface engineering, electrochemistry, corrosion science, and energy-related materials. The conference offers a valuable platform for exchanging ideas across disciplines that are increasingly important for sustainable energy technologies.
As an invited speaker, Miroslav Mikolášek presented the talk “Mathematical Models for Battery Research and Development: From Cell to System Level”. His presentation highlighted how advanced modelling and simulation approaches enhance understanding of battery behaviour and support the development of robust, reliable energy-storage technologies.
The conference was hosted in the impressive Smolenice Castle, which created a remarkable and inspiring atmosphere for scientific exchange. Its unique setting added to the overall experience and made discussions with colleagues from various research fields even more engaging.
